What the standard covers
GOST 1129-2013 “Sunflower oil. Specifications” applies in the EAEU countries, including Kazakhstan. It divides oil into types by processing method — unrefined, hydrated (degummed) and refined — and sets grades and parameter limits for each. The higher the grade, the stricter the limits on acid value, impurities and colour.
Crude (unrefined) oil is oil after pressing or extraction that has been cleaned of mechanical impurities only. It is the main raw material for refineries and bottlers.
Parameters and what they mean

How to check a lot
- Ask for laboratory test results for this particular lot, not “typical” ones.
- Check the acid and peroxide values against your plant's requirements — they determine yield and refining costs.
- Agree in advance on sampling at loading and on an arbitration laboratory in case of discrepancies.
Documents for the oil
In addition to the test results, sunflower oil comes with a declaration of conformity with TR CU 024/2011 “Technical Regulation for Oil and Fat Products”. It is required to sell oil on the EAEU market. The full list of documents is on the delivery and payment page.
