What soapstock is
Soapstock forms during alkali refining of sunflower oil. The alkali binds free fatty acids into soaps, and phospholipids, pigments and some neutral fat leave the oil together with them.
The key parameter of soapstock is total fat content: it determines how much fatty acid or soap the buyer will get. More on its composition and uses in the article “Soapstock: what it is”.
Soapstock thickens in the cold, so in winter it is shipped in heated tank cars or cars with a steam jacket — we agree on this when you order.

How is soapstock transported in winter?
Soapstock thickens in the cold, so in winter we ship it in heated tank cars or cars with a steam jacket. On site it is heated before unloading.
How is soapstock different from fatty acids?
Soapstock is a mix of soaps, fat and water straight from refining. Fatty acids are made from soapstock: it is split with acid, and the fat phase is separated and washed. Fatty acids contain from 95% of the main substance, soapstock contains from 40% total fat.
What documents come with a lot?
Contract, invoice and waybills, the lab analysis of the lot. For export — a certificate of origin and the export document package.
Why is there no price on the website?

Where do you ship from?
From Ust-Kamenogorsk: by rail from Zashchita station, by road from our warehouse in the city. We can load your transport or deliver to your station and warehouse. More on the delivery and payment page.

Yes, we ship to Uzbekistan, Iran and other countries. We prepare the export documents and calculate delivery to the destination station — see the export page.
