How fatty acids are made
Sunflower fatty acids are made from soapstock: it is split with sulphuric acid, then the fat phase is separated, washed and dried. The finished product contains from 95% fatty acids, mainly oleic and linoleic.
The acid value shows how much free acid the product contains; the iodine value shows how unsaturated the acids are. More on the process and parameters in the article “Fatty acids from soapstock”.
East Kazakhstan is a mining region, so fatty acids here are bought not only by soap makers but also by ore processing plants, which use them to make flotation reagents.

Are these distilled fatty acids?
No, these are fatty acids obtained by splitting soapstock, without distillation. If your production needs distilled acids, send us your requirements and we will suggest options.
How are they transported in winter?
Fatty acids thicken at low temperatures, so in winter we ship them in heated tank cars.
What documents come with a lot?
Contract, invoice and waybills, the lab analysis of the lot. For export — a certificate of origin and the export document package.

Where do you ship from?
From Ust-Kamenogorsk: by rail from Zashchita station, by road from our warehouse in the city. We can load your transport or deliver to your station and warehouse. More on the delivery and payment page.
